McGladrey Classic Hosts Media Day

On Monday, September 17, The McGladrey Classic hosted its annual Media Day for local, regional and national members of the press. Matt Adams launched the day by broadcasting his Fairways for Life radio show from the tournament office.

Gary Williams of the Golf Channel interviewed Davis Love III, tournament host. Williams also interviewed defending champion Ben Crane who called in for the event.

Following the morning session, fellow PGA TOUR players Brian Harman and Chris Kirk joined Love in a three hole Charity Skins game. They played the finishing holes of Seaside. Tournament Title Sponsor McGladrey provided $2,500 per hole which the winning player for that hole presented to a charity. The results were:

Kirk won the 16th hole in a playoff with Love. The winning charity was Hospice of the Golden Isles.

Harman won the 17th hole in a playoff with Love. The winning charity was United Way of Coastal Georgia.

Love won the final hole in a playoff with Harman. The winning charity was The Gathering Place.
