The McGladrey Classic Welcomes Toby Keith as “Live Under the Oaks” Concert Headliner

August 9, 2013 – Today, the Davis Love Foundation announced that it will bring superstar Toby Keith to the Golden Isles to perform “Live Under the Oaks” at The McGladrey Classic, an Official PGA TOUR FedExCup Event, sponsored by McGladrey LLP, the nation’s leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market. The concert will take place on Wed., Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. Keith, a singer, song writer, actor and avid golf fan, is the ultimate performer for The McGladrey Classic. The concert, presented by Southeast Georgia Health System, will be held after the Official McGladrey Pro-Am event.

“Having Toby Keith perform during The McGladrey Classic exceeds our expectations,” said Tournament Director Scott Reid. “Keith’s love for the game of golf, the outdoors, and his laid back attitude is a natural fit to the atmosphere here at The McGladrey Classic at Sea Island and the Golden Isles. We are confident that we’ll have a sell-out crowd.”

From his first No. 1 smash hit, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” to his latest release Hope On The Rocks, Toby Keith has been one of the most consistent self-directed hit makers of his era. From Clancy’s Tavern, his previous collection, the lead single, “Made In America,” topped the charts as one of the fastest rising songs in a long line of chart burners from Keith’s pen. The second hit, “Red Solo Cup,” has become the most remarkable and commercially successful country single in recent memory with a viral video with more than 20 million views while topping the top downloaded country songs. His next single, “Drinks After Work,” will hail from an upcoming album to be released later this year.

Keith’s albums have sold more than 37 million copies, ranking him among the top-selling all-genre artists on Billboard’s Top 200 Artists of the Decade. He has earned annual recognition from Forbes as one of the very top-earning entertainer/musicians in the world.

Like Tournament Host Davis Love III, Keith’s most rewarding experiences come from giving back. Whether it’s helping sick children and their families in his native Oklahoma through the Toby Keith Foundation or supporting U.S. Troops, including USO Tours throughout the world, Keith has never lost touch with the most important things in life. Proceeds from the Live Under the Oaks Concert will benefit charities of the Davis Love Foundation.

      Gary,
Excellent question. Lawn chairs are permitted for the concert and the tournament. However, chairs cannot be carried in any type of bag.
