Q&A with Berry Collett
Recently we sat down with Sea Island Golf Club Superintendant, Berry Collett, to discuss his tenure at Sea Island and looking ahead to this year’s event.
Tournament Staff: How long have you been the Golf Course Superintendent for Sea Island Golf Club? What golf courses did you oversee previously?
Berry Collett: I have been with Sea Island Golf Club for 11 years! Prior to Sea Island I worked at Hampton Club (8 years) and Amelia Island Plantation (5 years).

Golden Isles Convention & Visitors Bureau Extends Community Partnership with PGA Tour’s McGladrey Classic
Adding support for the tournament that longtime PGA TOUR member and Sea Island resident Davis Love III has brought to his back yard, the Golden Isles Convention & Visitors Bureau and The McGladrey Classic have announced a community partnership for the 2011 event, which takes place Oct. 10-16 on Sea Island Golf Club’s Seaside course, on St. Simons Island.

The winner will caddie for the 2012 U.S. Ryder Cup captain during The McGladrey Classic Pro-Am on October 12, 2011.
